The following is directly from
President George W. Bush. (#43)
This is a summary of his own words
and tells you the truth of his goals,
objectives and his vision for America.
God Bless America.

There is one simple, elementary fact many are missing about our President.
This man is not in this job for the camera;
he is in this job for you, your children and the country.
May God Bless and keep our President safe.

I am grateful for the generous support you've given our Party as a Sustaining
Member of the RNC. We share a vision for our country, and we must work
together to move ahead.

On education, tax cuts, Social Security and health care we are reaching out
to people of goodwill regardless of Party to solve problems and
advance the case of reform.

We recognize that government has an important role to play. We have a great
trust. We must be good stewards.

But, we also know that government does not have all the answers. Too much
government crowds out initiative and hard work, private charity
and the private economy.

That is why our governing vision says government should be active, but limited;
engaged, but not overbearing.

Education is our first priority because our children are our highest priority.
We believe in local control of the schools, and in high standards and accountability.

We are putting the emphasis back on the basics -- on reading, on recruiting
and training good teachers, and teaching students right from wrong.

For our seniors America must keep the promise of Social Security and Medicare.
We will make affordable prescription drug coverage available to all seniors. We will
safeguard your right to choose your own doctor.

We must also renew the promise of Social Security for future generations by giving
younger Americans the freedom to invest in voluntary personal retirement accounts.

And for both present and future generations, cutting taxes is important because
we honor hard work and entrepreneurship, and because we need to grow the
economy, not the government.

That is why our plan pays down the debt, protects Social Security and Medicare --
and still cuts taxes for everyone who pays taxes, reduces the marriage penalty,
eliminates the death tax, and increases incentives for charitable giving.

As you know, during the campaign many of these ideas were attacked as "risky".
That is nonsense. These are ideas our Party has advocated for many years. They
are common-sense, and they are right.

But you know as well as I do that serious reform does not come easy. It never has,
and it never will. There will be strong, determined opposition from some quarters.
The contest will be spirited.

That is why your continuing support for the RNC is so important. I am counting on
the RNC to carry our message to the American people.

America was targeted for attack because we are the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining. ---Presidet George W. Bush
