Hillary Clinton trying to give government more control over children.
Hillary Rodham Clinton has been trying for years to give government more control over children. Critics say the efforts undermine parental authority. Now, conservatives suspect Sen. Clinton may be hitching her political ambitions to still another "wagon." John Paulton, of Focus on the Family, is suspicious of the New York senator's reasons for introducing legislation that links the terrorism threat to children's health care. "Her attempts to bring this up at this time are clearly an attempt to tie it to the terrorist attacks and, thus, change the dynamics of the debate," Paulton said. He continued: "She, along with Ted Kennedy, the senator from Massachusetts, have been relentless in their efforts to get any part of their agenda through on health care. And we need to be on guard not only against terrorist attacks, but against other people who would take political advantage of this climate we are in right now to get their agenda through Congress." Health care workers say the idea that parents were not available after the Sept. 11 attacks to take care of their children is unsupported by facts.

Subject: Two Men - Two Administrations
Two men, both billionaires. One develops relatively cheap software and gives hundreds of millions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why is it that the US government spent more money in the Clinton Administration chasing down Bill Gates than Osama bin Laden? How dare any one say one word about the money spent by the President Bush administration to rid us of terrorism and get our economy strong again! In addition, how dare the Demcrats fight him on tax cuts! This is your money, not theirs!
God, please Bless America!

Eerie Image Pulled From CD

The cover for the upcoming CD from a popular hip-hop group portrays an eerily familiar sight. Against a backdrop of morning skies, the towers of the World Trade Center stand engulfed in flame from the impact of twin explosions. Clouds of smoke spew from the upper stories, all but obscuring the tip of what was once the epicenter of the New York City skyline. If it weren't for the super-imposed images of the Oakland, California, hip-hop duo known as The Coup, the scene could pass for a remarkably precise replica of the horrific tragedy that befell New York City on Tuesday morning. The cover design predates Tuesday's twin attacks on the World Trade Center by months.

Al-Qaeda is lucky
Al-Qaeda is lucky. Their complaints fit in with the left's agenda, an agenda of hatred of the United States for its values, its prosperity and its courage. Because of this, they have supporters within our borders, within our universities. McVeigh never had such influential supporters. It is time for the left to re-examine its values and its method of achieving those values. If violence is an unjust method for frustrated pro-lifers, then it is also an unjust method for angry fundamentalist Muslims.

US Census Bureau Has No Clue
It might be helpful to know how many Arabs now are residing in the United States, but don't ask the Census Bureau. Nicholas Kulish of The Wall Street Journal reported that the 2000 Census gave respondents a choice of 126 ethnic and racial combinations, going so far as to include subcategories of Pacific Islanders, but "not a single category existed for people of Middle Eastern descent or for Muslims." Why? The Census Bureau gets its orders from the White House Office of Management and Budget. Apparently the Clinton administration just didn't think that information was important for us to know.

Amherst Rallies to ‘Stop War’
Mass News
See, two weeks ago, the Amherst Select Board received national media attention when they voted, on the eve of September 11, to limit the flying of twenty-nine American flags to six annual holidays only. These elected officials were deluged with mail and calls from all over the country, protesting their vote. Many who complained were especially incensed to learn that the sky blue United Nations flag flies, year round, outside town hall. Some of those same officials who “voted against the flag” were at this gathering, as were Amherst public school employees, University of Massachusetts professors and other activists-on-the-dole. The irony didn’t escape Larry, Dan, or me. We remembered that these were the same public officials who coldly told a roomful of veterans “no” when these soldiers asked to fly American flags in their downtown. And here were those officials at a rally, which, in essence, was a slam against the United States’ military and the President and the sweet, patriotic spirit which has spread like a Montana wildfire across the fruited plain. Only liberals in a college town believe that holding candlelight vigils, reading poems and singing songs will discourage fanatical killers from preying upon the innocent. Only educated fools in places like Amherst and Cambridge and Berkeley don’t understand that, “to be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace,” as George Washington advised. Sometimes you “stop war and end racism” with a B-52 bomber and lots of Marines.

Clone Ranger - The Raël world comes to New York
Source: Clone Aid
The first Raelian has just moved to Manhattan, and she's on a mission to multiply. She is hosting her first "sensual meditation" class next week, spreading the extraterrestrial good news on the Upper West Side—and bringing the group's controversial stance on cloning to New York. Like all Raelians, Dr. Boissellier believes that advanced methods of human cloning will lead to immortality. After all, the Elohim—aliens who created all life on earth—became immortal this way. She is hosting her first "sensual meditation" class next week, spreading the extraterrestrial good news on the Upper West Side—and bringing the group's controversial stance on cloning to New York. At present in New York City, the Raelians are mounting a membership drive (they were handing out literature last weekend in Central Park, and making plans to open their homes to group meetings). Why is human cloning a mandatory goal? Why is Dr. Boissellier a Raelian? What are Parent's intentions in New York? And, most bizarre, why are Raelians better looking than, say, the average Moonie? Parent puckers up her glossy, red full lips, takes a deep breath, pauses, and ponders. Finally, she replies in a soft French accent. "To create a painting," she says, referring to one of the many lively works on the walls of her West 52nd Street apartment, "is like an orgasm [accent on the a]." "The Elohim created us, like we create paintings. We were created out of pleasure, and therefore our destiny is supposed to be pleasure. The more in touch we are with our senses, beauty, and passions, the more one we are with our creators, infinity, and with ourselves." Parent, who helped bring nearly 100 Raelians into the fold in Florida over the last seven years, is confident that she will have even greater success convincing New Yorkers to believe that highly artistic, science-minded, sextraterrestrials created our world, and that—through cloning—we will achieve immortality. "It says in the Bible that whoever devotes themselves to the building of the third temple is a real Jew. So we are therefore more Jewish than most born Jews." The Raelians have the means to begin building, but are waiting for Israel to legitimize their request. If Israel doesn't cooperate by 2035, Rael teaches that the Elohim will stop protecting Israel from its surrounding neighbors. And if a more alien-friendly country agrees to build the embassy at any time before then, Israel's extraterrestrial-spiritual protection will be lifted. Despite the fact that he is a race-car enthusiast who claims an intimate, even familial relationship with extraterrestrials, and that he is a devout atheist with a messiah complex and a Jewish identity, Rael comes across as clear-headed and gentle. As Palmer puts it, "I have always seen Rael as a well-meaning, exciting, intelligent leader. But I have a friend who is a psychiatrist who went to go hear him speak and said he seemed totally paranoid and schizophrenic with his whole God-complex." Gary says the group has a list of more than 100 people waiting to clone themselves. She says there are quite a few homosexuals on the list (the Raelians advertise that they are more open to gays than any other pro-cloning group). The Raelians feel that cloning offers gays a wonderful opportunity to have children with their own genes. "They should have the right," says Gary. Sexual experimentation and gender play is encouraged. For example, Raelians throw a transgendered ball each year: "Men come dressing and acting like stereotypical women, and women come dressing and acting like men," Rael explains. In this way, he adds, Raelians learn respect for the other gender, and become "inspired to act more human, and less like 'women' or 'men.' We are really quite feminist," he concludes. Raelians welcome gays, bisexuals, and transsexuals into their religion, and march in gay pride parades all over the world each year. Parent is very excited about establishing a New York chapter. "Rael teaches us to see the positive side to everything," she notes. "I have lived in France—a country with a lot less religious tolerance than here. America is the freest country, and New Yorkers are the most open people.
"And they're used to seeing just about everything."

Federal Funds Used for Explicit Workshops
FOX NEWS
Sunday, September 09, 2001
WASHINGTON - The advertisements addressed to gay men were provocative: Learn to write racy stories about your sexual encounters, choose toys "for solo and partner sex" or share tales of erotic experiences. All of it was done at government expense, in the name of preventing AIDS. The sexually provocative prevention programs run by San Francisco AIDS groups are funded in part from the $387.7 million the federal government is spending this year on AIDS prevention. The government also spends $1.8 billion for medical treatment of low-income victims of AIDS and $257 million for housing for low income and homeless sufferers of the sexually transmitted disease that attacks the body's immune system. An AIDS clinic operator in Dallas was sentenced to prison for using federal AIDS funds to pay a psychic. Under CDC guidelines, prevention programs cannot promote or encourage sexual activity. Community organizations say prevention experts participate in events with sexually provocative themes, but promotions on the groups' Internet sites give no hint of a disease-prevention program. "It was a dark and steamy night," began the advertising for the "Hot Writing" seminar in San Francisco. Another advertisement welcomed interested gay men "to our world of toys. Learn how to choose, use and care for toys for solo and partner sex." Gay men were invited in another program to "share tales of intercourse," part of a Sex in the City series. Other programs focused on pleasing sex partners, meeting friends without paying cover charges and making sex more erotic. In Dallas, AIDS clinic operator Mythe Kirven pleaded guilty to paying $27,800 in federal funds to a self-proclaimed psychic. Sundiata Alaye, the group's new executive director, said changes were made and "we've got an excellent control structure in place now." Why? Because we have a new President. We have a new administration that has something that has been missing for a very, very long time - common sense and more importantly, DIGNITY AND HONOR - just as promised and so badly needed.

TOP BANANA - He's Not Hairy, He's My Brother
August 12, 2001
By SETH MYDANS
With some people still upset over Darwin's theory, which suggests that apes are our grandparents, along comes an even more unsettling view: we are just another breed of ape. These emperors of evolution are chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, bonobos and (are we forgetting one?) humans. "If man is made in God's image," Allan Wilson, a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles, once said, "then God must be a chimpanzee." It is one of the great conceptual advances of science in the last decade to link the five "great apes" — including man — into one biologically similar group. Advocates for the other four say the group is distinct from what they classify dismissively as "animals." Humans and chimpanzees, they note, are 99 percent identical genetically, have similar blood groups and similar brain structures and show near-identical behavior in their first three years of life. All five hominids are unique in sharing human-like characteristics that scientists group under the labels self-awareness, theory of mind and incipient moral awareness. "In other words, the special mental qualities that make human life so precious in our moral and legal systems are also shared by our closest cousins," said Rowan Taylor, a publicist for the Great Ape Project, an ape-advocacy group. "It's actually an injustice to call chimpanzees and orangutans `animals,' " he said. And it separates them from us, who apart from the hair and certain features of anatomy you'd have a difficult time defining a significant difference." Like Shylock, these advocates cry, "If you prick them, do they not bleed? If you tickle them, do they not laugh?" The logical outcome, the advocates say, is human rights for apes. They quote the scientist Carl Sagan, from his book "The Dragons of Eden": "If chimpanzees have consciousness, if they are capable of abstractions, do they not have what until now has been described as `human rights'? How smart does a chimpanzee have to be before killing him constitutes murder?" Rights for apes, the advocates argue, is simply the next step in the development of a moral society where no group is denied its fair place — whether it has a different skin color or ethnic background, whether it is disabled or mentally impaired, or whether it is covered in hair. There is a movement under way to recognize the other four great apes as "persons" under the law, rather than property. As with young or intellectually impaired humans, that lobby says, apes should be provided with guardians to safeguard their rights and, should the need arise, plead their cases in court. Yes, apes are like us, they say, but that doesn't make them human. So if you want to use logic, said Frans de Waal, a primatologist at Yerkes who has explored similiarities between apes and humans, it all seems to come down to this: "If being humanlike is the criterion, then of course we humans should always come first."

SINGER'S BESTIAL BALLAD
"Adultery, incest, sex with children, sex with animals -- arguing against any such sexual behavior becomes much more difficult once we decide that the notion of self-restraint is incoherent." --Alan Keyes Peter Singer, Princeton's DeCamp Professor in the University Center for Human Values, sang "Singer's Sanctimonious Song," for his position on killing children with birth defects. "Killing a disabled infant is not morally equivalent to killing a person. Very often it is not wrong at all," claimed Singer. Last year, Singer expanded on that murderous theme, announcing that Americans have a "moral obligation" to kill the aged and infirm because they consume far too many of our medical resources. Thus, he concludes, those who advocate for the unborn should be equally concerned with the lives of calves, pigs, and chickens, "for on any fair comparison of morally relevant characteristics, like rationality, self-consciousness, awareness, autonomy, pleasure and pain, and so on, the calf, the pig and the much-derided chicken come out well ahead of the fetus at any stage of pregnancy--while if we make the comparison with a fetus of less than three months, a fish would show more signs of consciousness." Singer argues that to suggest any position to the contrary constitutes "speciesism," the idea that human life is somehow more sacred than other animal life. Singer does not, however, offer any argument for potentiality. After all, calves, pigs and chickens have the capacity to develop into, well, calves, pigs and chickens. Unborn children have the capacity to develop into, well, utilitarian academicians, who can expound on the properties of personhood at the nation's higher institutions of learning. Moving on to Singer's argument for euthanasia, a multitude of lower life forms also have a greater degree of thus defined "personhood" than victims of Alzheimer's disease, who have largely lost their sense of self-awareness. But then comes the rub. As it turns out, Singer, heralded in a recent interview with the New Yorker as the "greatest living philosopher," has a mother who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. She is, by his definition, no longer a "person." Yet he has, at great personal expense, hired round-the-clock health care workers to care for her. Questioned about the fact he does not practice what he preaches, Singer declared: "I think this has made me see how the issues of someone with these kinds of problems are really very difficult. Perhaps it is more difficult than I thought before, because it is different when it's your mother." "Perhaps it is more difficult than I thought before, because it is different when it's your mother"? Feel free to re-read the preceding quote until you fully grasp its implications! Sometimes a single comment categorically betrays the boundless hypocrisy of the Left's most celebrated illiterati. One can infer from Singer's position on euthanasia that killing "defective" children is also different when it is your child! Now, Singer is back, claiming that "mutually satisfying activities" (such as sex) with animals, should be OK. In his review of the book, "Dearest Pet: Bestiality," after a detailed description of sex with chickens, Singer writes that "our physical similarities with other mammals...are so strong that the taboo on bestiality stems not from physical differences but from our desire to differentiate ourselves...from animals. Who has not," he opines, "been at a social occasion disrupted by the household dog gripping the legs of a visitor and vigorously rubbing its penis against them? In private not everyone objects to being used by her or his dog in this way, and occasionally mutually satisfying activities may develop." CommentIn the vein of Singer's hypocritical stand on euthanasia -- "it is different when it's your mother," we are left wondering, "is it different when it's your puppy?"

SINGER STRIKES AGAIN - "Bioethicist says Killing Diabled Newborns Okay"
CONCORD, N.H. , October 6, 2001 (AP)
Bioethicist Peter Singer believes it is morally acceptable to kill severly disabled newborns and on Friday, he shared that message with about 200 people at a conference organized by the Governor's Commission on Disability. The Princeton University professor, whose views have enraged many, says he does not believe a newborn has a right to life until it reaches some minimum level of consciousness. "I do think that it is sometimes appropriate to kill a human infant", he said. "Those of you who are not vegetarians are responsible for taking a life every time you eat. Species is no more relevant than race in making these judgements", says Springer.
